Joyce Myers is the MTSI Chief Data Officer and has a rich history in data management. Prior to joining Modern Technology Solutions, Inc.. (MTSI), she served as a Soldier, Civilian, and Contractor.
After she retired from Civil Service in 2022, she was the Data Management Lead for the Army’s Enterprise Business Systems – Convergence (EBS-C) project before joining MTSI in December 2023.
Before her role at EBS-C, she was the Chief Data and Analytics Officer for the United States Army Aviation and Missile Command (AMCOM) from 2020 to 2022, where she spearheaded initiatives in data management, data literacy, and digital transformation, as well as serving as the AMCOM Secretary of the General Staff from 2018 – 2020.
After retiring from the Army, Joyce spent from 2005 – 2010 on various logistics contracts, ultimately serving as a contractor supporting the Logistics Support Activity (LOGSA). In 2010, she entered the government as a Department of the Army Civilian at LOGSA, where she served as a branch chief and division chief from 2010-2018.
Joyce joined the U.S. Army in 1984 and served 20 years in the logistics filed where her journey in data management began and culminated with her retirement as a Sergeant First Class in 2004.
She holds an AS in Structural Engineering, a BS in Business Administration, and an MS in Education. She is certified in the Enterprise Data Management Council’s Data Management Capabilities Assessment Model (DCAM) and as a Data Literacy Mentor. Currently, she leads the Huntsville Women in Data Chapter, where she continues to inspire and mentor others in the field.
