OSHA and CMS Vaccine Rules: Biden Administration Issues New Details

The Department of Labor’s Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) is announcing the details of a requirement for employers with 100 or more employees to ensure each of their workers is fully vaccinated or tests for COVID-19 on at least a weekly basis. The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) at the Department of Health and Human Services is also announcing the details of its requirement that health care workers at facilities participating in Medicare and Medicaid are fully vaccinated.

Chamber Board Opposes Civil Liability Changes for Employers Following COVID Vaccine Mandates

The federal COVID vaccine mandates for federal contractors and employees have provoked a series of bills in the special legislative session called by Governor Ivey to redraw district lines for a number of elected offices. There are now more than 12 such bills in the Legislature that would create a civil liability nightmare for employers.

(October 18, 2021) – Together with state and community leaders, Toyota Alabama held an event to celebrate the first of Toyota’s latest engine products for the all-new 2022 Tundra to come off the production line. The new engines, a hybrid electric powered twin-turbo V6 engine and the gas-powered twin-turbo V6 engine, usher in the next era of powertrains being assembled in Huntsville.

The new Healthcare Heroes Fund at Huntsville Hospital Foundation will support our local healthcare workers, providing meals, morale boosters, and emergency assistance funding for those personally affected by the virus through their jobs. Each tax-deductible gift directly supports healthcare heroes at Huntsville Hospital, Huntsville Hospital for Women & Children, and Madison Hospital.
