The Athens-Limestone County Chamber of Commerce honored Bethany Shockney, President & CEO of the Limestone County Economic Development Association (LCEDA), with the prestigious Executive Leadership Award at this year’s annual gala in April.

With a remarkable track record of leadership and dedication to community development, Shockney has been instrumental in driving economic growth and prosperity throughout Limestone County. Under her guidance, LCEDA has seen unprecedented success in attracting industries, creating jobs, and fostering a thriving community.

The Athens-Limestone Chamber Gala is an annual celebration of excellence and leadership, honoring individuals and organizations who have made significant contributions to Athens and Limestone County. The gala was held on Thursday, April 25, 2024, at the Alabama Veterans Museum & Archives.
