Bryan Primm has been hired as the new director of the Robert “Bob” Harrison Senior Wellness & Advocacy Center in Huntsville.
Primm hails from Opelika, Alabama, by way of Phenix City, Alabama. He is an entrepreneur, fitness advocate, and recreation expert. Primm is a graduate of Alabama A&M University with a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science and a Master’s degree in Urban Planning with concentrations in Housing and Community Development. As a professional, Primm has over 20 years of experience in fitness and recreation and almost a decade of entrepreneurial experience, including government relations, project management, public speaking, and restaurant ownership.
Last spring, Primm joined the center staff as the associate director, overseeing the fitness and aquatics program. Under his leadership, the program has been revamped to include traditional yoga and water aerobics classes and non-traditional classes such as drumming. Fitness staff and volunteers have undergone extensive safety training, and two lifeguards have been added to the staff.
