For safety and instructional reasons, Huntsville, Madison and Madison County schools will begin remotely for the first nine weeks of the 2020-2021 school year. Though many parents opted for virtual school, there are others who will need additional support to allow their students to learn remotely.
Many market-driven solutions are emerging, and parents are forming remote learning co-ops. The Huntsville/Madison County Chamber encourages its members to offer teleworking and flexible schedules when possible, and some companies are establishing on-site learning centers for their employees’ children. The Chamber will share more on these options as they develop.
To help inform a community response for those students who will potentially be unsupervised, the Chamber has created this survey to get very basic information. The results will be shared with our partners after August 3 to help identify a solution. We are all in this together!
NEW: SPANISH LANGUAGE VERSION
Here is a Spanish language version of the survey. We want to thank FLS – Foreign Language Services and Huntsville City Schools’ ESOL Program for helping us with translation.
