Fractal Brewing Project opened just last fall. Little did they know that a few months into operation, a worldwide pandemic would hit. Nevertheless, this new local brewery wanted to pitch in and help.
They have donated their event space to First Stop, which serves our homeless community in Huntsville. Fractal is also a drop off location for supplies. So far, they have assembled and distributed 500 single-day meal bags for First Stop. As the community continues to drop off supplies, the volunteers at First Stop continue to pack and distribute.
“The event space room isn’t being used during the shutdown, and First Stop needed extra room to store and pack bags,” said Larry Lowe, owner of Fractal Brewing Project. “Huntsville is a community that takes care of all of its citizens. It is the least we can do to help.”
First Stop and Fractal Brewing Project are serving around 150 bags per day now. If you are interested in donating supplies, you can drop off individual items or completed bags between 3 PM and 6 PM Wednesday through Friday or between 1 PM and 4 PM Saturday and Sunday. Fractal Brewing Project is located at 3200 Leeman Ferry Road, Huntsville, AL 35801.
