Mazda Toyota Manufacturing To Produce Newly Unveiled CX-50

Today, Mazda revealed the all-new CX-50, which will be made at Mazda Toyota Manufacturing in Huntsville. Production will begin in January 2022. MTM will hire up to 1,400 additional team members to join its existing workforce, eventually reaching up to 4,000 once production is in full operation.

OSHA and CMS Vaccine Rules: Biden Administration Issues New Details

The Department of Labor’s Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) is announcing the details of a requirement for employers with 100 or more employees to ensure each of their workers is fully vaccinated or tests for COVID-19 on at least a weekly basis. The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) at the Department of Health and Human Services is also announcing the details of its requirement that health care workers at facilities participating in Medicare and Medicaid are fully vaccinated.

Chamber Board Opposes Civil Liability Changes for Employers Following COVID Vaccine Mandates

The federal COVID vaccine mandates for federal contractors and employees have provoked a series of bills in the special legislative session called by Governor Ivey to redraw district lines for a number of elected offices. There are now more than 12 such bills in the Legislature that would create a civil liability nightmare for employers.
