HUNTSVILLE, Ala. – We are debuting something brand new at the annual Community Armed Forces Celebration Softball Game on Wednesday, June 12 at Toyota Field.  It’s the Grand Slam Spirit Award! This will be given to the company or organization that brings the most people to the game.

Put this on your company calendars, round up your employees, and come have a fun night at the ballpark watching leaders from Redstone Arsenal — Team Redstone — take on local elected and community leaders — the North Alabama Rockets!

The game is one of the signature events we host during Armed Forces Celebration Week every year.  It’s a lot of fun, and it’s also FREE!

Parking and admission are free, and this year, the first 500 fans through the gates get a FREE ballpark hot dog! Additional concessions are available for purchase.

IMPORTANT: To be eligible to win the Grand Slam Spirit Award, you must take a photo of your group and post it to social media by the end of the 3rd inning, tag the Huntsville/Madison County Chamber and add the hashtag #AFCW2024. You may post to Facebook, Instagram, or LinkedIn (or all three)! We’ll make announcements during the game to remind you, don’t worry.

NOTE: In addition to glory, honor, and bragging rights, the company or organization that wins the Grand Slam Spirit Award will also receive a free table at the Chamber’s Washington Update Luncheon with Congressman Dale Strong, or a sponsorship upgrade if you’ve already purchased a table or sponsorship. That luncheon is scheduled for August 19 at the Von Braun Center.
