HUNTSVILLE, Ala. – The new Madison County Service Center located at 1918 North Memorial Parkway will officially open Monday, March 1, 2021 following the relocation of several departments to the Service Center during the month of February.

There's good news about new providers coming online to offer COVID-19 vaccines. These include Walmart and Sam's Club pharmacies in selected locations, in addition to Huntsville Hospital continuing large-scale vaccination clinics by appointment. We have listed some other options as well.

This week, Huntsville Hospital is administering up to 2,000 COVID-19 vaccines per day at John Hunt Park, and we talked with two hospital administrators heading up this effort.

Huntsville Hospital is running a surge vaccination clinic by appointment only this week at the Jaycee Building at John Hunt Park, with Huntsville Police helping direct traffic flow. The hospital is aiming to vaccinate 1,800 to 2,000 people per day.

The Chamber will be hosting two virtual ASmartPlace on the Road recruiting events on Feb. 23 and Feb. 24. The first event is for students attending the colleges and universities in North Alabama. The second event, hosted in partnership with the Institute for Veterans and Military Families (IVMF), is for transitioning service members and veterans.

Today, the TPG Customer Experience Platform® continues to improve customer interactions and drive ROI opportunities for their partners around the globe. This move is a relocation of their HQ from Omaha, Nebraska and will create over 200 new jobs in the Huntsville market.

Governor Kay Ivey issued her twenty-second supplemental emergency proclamation extending the Safer at Home Order that includes a statewide mask requirement. Individuals will be required to wear a mask or other facial covering when in public and in close contact with other people, as described in the order. This order extends until Friday, March 5, 2021 at 5:00 p.m.
